G & K Burgers, located at 446 E. Live Oak Avenue, received the Arcadia Business Icon award at a joint presentation made by the Arcadia Historical Society and the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce at the Chamber’s November Networking Breakfast held at the Arcadia Golf Course Sunset Room. Spiro Vagenas (pronounced “Viyanis”) owner of the popular eatery was present to receive the award.
Society President Gene Glasco gave an amusing perspective on his past foodservice industry experiences with Greek clients prior to presenting Vagenas with the Society’s attractive “Business Icon” certificate. Arcadia Chamber of Commerce CEO Scott Hettrick also recognized G & K Burger with a custom made Chamber plaque of their own.
